Beehive Co-op

1831 Peachtree St, Atlanta, GA 30309 (map)

You could probably put on those trusty dusty Timberlands in the back of your closet, grab a rope, and your closest girlfriends to have them watch you as you Stone Mountain-climb your way up Georgia's largest hill. Or perhaps pitch a tent in your backyard while listening to a symphony of crickets over roasted marshmallows while you become one with your inner eco-friend.

But that's not eco-chic. Beehive Co-op is.

You're probably wondering what the buzz is about. It's just another artists' market, right? Not in your handcrafted dreams. Beehive Co-op is an artist experience, carrying everything from beautifully handmade jewelry from Iram-Inal Designs  and Sarara Brazil, at home spa essentials from Rinse Bath & Body Co., unique handbags by Sage Saks, trendy baby gear from Pretty Jane, and an eclectic mix of clothing that includes earth friendly t-shirts, trendy summer shoes,  and dazzling dresses by  designers such as Ann Roth and Dawn Ramu. The store's serene façade can't hide the impeccable pieces of artwork created by Atlanta's own community of artists, many using earth friendly materials.

And that's just the beginning. The store also offers classes for interested artists-to-be: adults and kids included, as well as classes on public relations and entrepreneurship.  The honey is much sweeter when it's from Beehive Co-op. But don't take someone else's word for it. Stop by to see what the buzz is about.

Gotta' love: The unique jewelry selection available from local jewelry designers. You'll never want to shop Tiffany's again. New customers receive 15% off their purchase.

Working the Runway of Work

Everyday city streets are overcrowded with the diligent stewards of corporate America, and between the 7 am wake up call, the daily stop at Starbucks, the boardroom meetings, and conference calls, the faithful workaholics rarely get a chance to peek in the mirror at heir “howdidigetthisway” unstylish duds. Different rules apply to different office atmospheres but almost everyone can agree that your ultimate goal in dressing for the workplace is to project a professional...
