On the heels of their 15^th successful anniversary in business, Alon and Janine Balshan, owners of the Atlanta benchmark in gourmet fare, Alon's Bakery and Market, recently opened a second location near Perimeter Mall on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.  Good news for local foodies, this sister Bakery Market is located in the former Eatzi's space at the Park Place shopping center and has all the amenities of the current store located in Virginia-Highlands and much more.

Featuring an open kitchen consisting of a full bakery, a selection of prepared foods, an extensive cheese shop, boutique wine shop and bar, fresh flowers and a unique collection of gifts that are hand-selected by Janine, guests of the new location are treated to the same services as current frequenters. In addition, this Alon's location encompasses more than 11,000 square feet. so it will also provide a few new surprises, including cooking demonstrations.  They also have a beer and wine bar to sell beverages.

Since opening its first location in 1992 in the Virginia Highland area of Atlanta, Alon's Bakery and Market has become known nationwide for its incredible selection of homemade pastries, breads, cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, prepared foods, artisan cheeses, wine, kitchen items and much more. Alon's boasts that all items are made in-house from scratch, and it is definitely seen in the quality and taste.  Locals and visitors alike flock to it from around the area for special occasion meals, take out, and holiday treats.
