So, when my wife asked where we were going for our "date night," this week, I told her Dish.
We've passed it several times, commenting on the fun yet sophisticated exterior, wondering how the food was. We were not let down!
From first to last, Dish was an unforgettable experience. The staff was professional, friendly and made us feel right at home. Of course, our first conversation settled on the sleek furniture and warm color scheme of the interior - something we'd been trying to achieve in our own home.
Appetizers consisted of Crispy Peekytoe Crab Cake and a Cilantro Crusted Ahi Tuna, both of which were perfectly sized. If you love crab cake - try Dish!
Being the meat eater, I opted for the Porcini Crusted Beef Tenderloin - tender and earthy with just the right blend of ‘shroom, jus, and cow.
My wife, the healthier one of the bunch, chose the Portabella Capped Polenta Tower with melted mozzarella, zucchini, and arugula.
And that's when it happened. I'm not sure how it started but, we talked. Not just the, "how's your day," kind of talk but the, "dream the big dream, and boy am I a lucky man" kind of talk. (She agrees, I am one lucky guy!)
Now, we talk all the time; it's why we love date night. I'm not sure if it was the servers' understanding of just when to step in for a refill or if the combination of excellent food and sophisticated atmosphere contributed but, we enjoyed that night.
And we'll be back - with friends in tow!
