Are you a busy family that is stuck trying to figure out healthy ways to feed your chicks? Well Chickin Feed is here to save your coop. Atlanta-based Chickin Feed‘s mission is to help busy families teach their chicks the basics of eating healthy at an early age. Chickin Feed provides parents with the tools to engage and educate their children as well as themselves, through Voila the Nutrition Tracking Board.
Mother Hen Leslie Grant an Atlanta native and mother of two came up with an innovated way to display the daily requirements you should feed your chicks. Leslie deconstructed the food pyramid and redesigned it into The Nutrition Tracking Board. The tracking board allows you and your children to easily see and track what they eat each day. Leslie believes that simply putting down what a balanced diet looks like and having it present in your kitchen would be a great way to teach your kids what good nutrition looks like.
In addition to the Chickin Feed Nutrition Tracking Board the company has several different products in the hopper. The Chickin Feed Primer is a book designed to be shared with children that will provide simple, fun and effective recipes, menus, shopping and pantry tips and activities. The primer will help parents shop wisely, plan better, and keep chicks active. Chickinware will take the tracking board one step further by having a set of plates with suggested foods and portion sizes for each meal.
Mother Hen Leslie and Chickin Feed was featured on The Rachel Ray Show and Good Day Atlanta this past month. If you missed you can catch the clip on the website as well as the Chickin Feed products.
